Monday, December 12, 2011-Benefit Night at Burger King. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burger King (401 Kent Street- Lindsay Square Mall) will donate 20% of your purchase of designated meals to United Way CKL. You must present a coupon at the time of ordering. Go to the United Way’s website for information on this and other events, and to get your coupons.
As of December 1st, 2011 the two current After Hours Clinics will combine into one new clinic at a new location. The new After Hours Clinic will be housed at the offices of the CKL Family Health Team at 55 Angeline Street North, between Giant Tiger and National Grocers in the Town and Country Mall.
The clinics at the two current locations will not operate after Dec. 1st. The new clinic will be open for 3 hours and will have two physicians (most days) whose shifts will overlap during those three hours. There will be two clerical staff on duty to assist with registration for the clinic and the provision of clinic appointments for that 3 hour period.
Patients arriving at the After Hours Clinic will be registered and then given an appointment time for later that same day or evening. This will allow patients to leave the waiting room and return for their appointment at the appropriate time. It is hoped that this will enhance convenience for patients and improve the waiting room experience with fewer people having to wait for the full 3 hour period.
Appointments will not be offered by telephone. There will be ample, free parking. Laboratory facilities and x-ray examinations will not be available on site.
Weekdays from 6pm to 9pm with the last appointment booked for 8:50pm.
Weekends and Holidays from 9am to 12 Noon with the last appointment booked at 11:50am.
Kevin Frank (illustrator of the True North cartoon in This Week) was hired recently to do the cartoons for a video for Sarnia. They did something called video scribing. You can watch Kevin create the drawings for this in the cool video below!
